In 2026 the Fredericton Community Climate Hub interviewed and compiled stories of Capital Region residents building the robust systems needed to cope with climate- related challenges. From wildfires to droughts, supply-chain disruptions, being prepared is paramount.

Partnering with the Capital Region Resiliency Network, a creation of the NB Department of Justice and Public Safety) and St. Thomas University interns, we learned that with small and moderate cash outlays and (in many cases, salvaged) materials, our participants model solutions that can be adopted by most people, urban or rural.
